poem of the day

The Red Wheelbarrow
by William Carlos Williams

so much depends
upon
a red wheel
barrow

glazed with rain
water

beside the white
chickens.

I love this poem. I remember reading it in elementary school and GETTING for the first time the difference between poetry and other language. It's just so perfect, isn't it?

I feel like I'm always searching for something that has the perfection of that wheel barrow in my life.
