stumped

I came out ahead of the pack and now I've ground to a halt. This nano-novel of mine is suddenly going nowhere! I got my characters further along in fewer pages than I'd planned and now the balance of the narrative seems off and I don't know how to fix it! Furthermore, I can't think of anything to blog about! It's like my head has been opened up and completely emptied of everything interesting. I suppose I need a break.

You probably have run out of conflict -- that's what happens when I hit a lull.

When I would run RPGs and would be at a low point, I would have the players get randomly attacked (since I ran low-combat games, this was actually a surprise) by mystery attackers. It gives you a little external conflict while you get going again.

When I would get stuck with my previous fiction projects, I'd go for a walk and do anything but think about the story, and the answer would always come to me that way. It's why I don't believe in writers block.

Go writing buddy!
